Hosting Newham Chambers of Commerce’s Summer Social

Local business owners, creatives, community organisations and budding entrepreneurs descended on mass upon Porsche Centre East London for an evening of networking and envisioning. Mark Kass, Creative Director and Lloyd Johnson, Chairman of the Chambers opened the evening with an introduction to Porsche and how grateful they were to have such an aspirational backdrop to celebrate innovation, achievement and customer driven passion.

The keynote on Progress Powered by People was delivered by centre principal Ivan Howell whilst Hayley Leland, group marketing manager, addressed the timely topic of Celebrating 75 Years of Porsche – Building the Brand. A natural and inquisitive ‘tell-me-more’ spirit led to an organic unplanned Q&A session on customer expectations, delivering on promises and investing in staff as key to framing and sustaining business development.

Fuelled and Focused on the Future

Fed and watered, we arranged for guests to have a complimentary summer-style BBQ off the fiery grill catered by The Great British Roast. It provided a moment for business forward conversation and ideas for collaboration. The evening ended with our Certified Technician Aaron Scott and Pro Driver Ric Collins taking guests for a test drive taster, to the Royal Docks and back, in our powerful all-electric Taycans. A Porsche Experience Day prize draw in exchange for leaving their details with us for further future comms was the last item of the summer social. A couple of attendees etched into their immediate plans the goal to purchase a Macan. Others loved exploring our showroom cars and trying the models for size. Some met with potential collaborators for their own projects and businesses. The Newham Chambers were delighted with the outcome of the evening and all of us left with a spring in our step thinking about the road of dreams and possibilities that await our futures. Now that’s a win-win!
