At the outset, the mission was to create an engaging all-wheel drive, luxury SUV, designed to seamlessly conquer; the commute to the office, head for an offroad adventure, then stretch capabilities with revs of the engine in a high-octane track setting. Porsche gave a new dimension to the Sport Utility Vehicle exclaimed by the name derived from the spicy pepper – a bold and relevant choice for an intrepid traveller with a fiery nature. Now a mainstay of the Porsche range and a car consistently rated as being best-in-class, the first generation of Cayenne was launched in 2002, joining the 911 and Boxster in the Porsche range, opening the brand up to a new audience for the first time. The Cayenne was the first to channel the sporty heritage of Porsche DNA in an SUV without compromise, making the first Porsche Family-inclusive sportscar.

The 2023 facelift of the 3rd Generation brings an arsenal of optional extras like the HUD (Head-up Display), HD-Matrix LED Headlights, 10.9-inch Passenger Display, Porsche Innodrive with ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) with Evasion and Turn Assist, Adaptive Air Suspension and even an Air Quality System to protect against pollutants. Joining the options list are three new paint finishes, Arctic Grey, Montego Blue and Algarve Blue along with a selection of new alloy wheel designs. 

Pleasingly, the changes to the Cayenne are not solely limited to the options list, with a suite of changes employed as standard across the range. Internally, the 12.3-inch central display, In-Car Video, the latest steering wheel generation incorporating Mode switch, a framed dashboard and a rising centre console accentuate the modern luxury aesthetic. Externally, a newly designed front apron, more sculpted bonnet and tail section with three-dimensional taillights visually enhance the sporty appeal of the Cayenne. This model development has taken into consideration the demands of lifestyle, comfort, luxury, style and power to give scope to a finely tuned motoring heaven.
